Design researcher, designer and entrepreneur. Specialises in complex socio-technical systems design: real situations involving people and things together. Has developed several new theory tools and research -based models for highly complex socio-technical systems design.
Effective PhD supervisor. Developed successful fast track PhD supervision, and supervision methods for PhD students with language and culture disadvantage to maximise retentions and completions within 4 years.
Currently writing book on practical design research methods that resolve 'wicked' design problems.
