About
Olan is a lecturer at the Edith Cowan University in the School of Marketing, Tourism, and Leisure. Several of the classes he teaches are: Sport marketing, sport event management and sport media.
Olan's research interests are in the intersection of sport and the media. In particular, the sport/media complex and mediated marketing messages during sport telecasts.
Olan is also a member of Edith Cowan University's Centre for Research in Entertainment, Arts, Technology, Education and Communications and is involved in the Media, Culture and Society Research Group
